AUGUSTA, Ga. — One of Daniel Summerhays’ goals for his first Masters was making the cut. He did that by shooting a 75 Friday, which along with his opening-round 74 put him at 5-over-par 149.
With 12 groups still on the course, the projected cut is 150. The top 50 scores and ties make the cut and Summerhays stands in a tie for 38th place.
The other Utahn in the tournament, Sandy’s Mike Weir, the 2003 Masters champion, failed to make the cut as he posted a 7-over 79, leaving him at 155 and in a tie for 84th in the 93-player field.
