Sitake more involved with BYU defense during spring ball

It’s good for me to help out a little bit wherever I can. I’m not taking a primary role. I’m just supporting and helping out with technique and fundamentals and stuff that I can see.

PROVO — Now that he’s in his second year as BYU’s head coach and is more comfortable in that role, Kalani Sitake is getting a little more involved with the defense this spring.

As part of a change in coaching responsibilities on the staff, defensive coordinator Ilaisa Tuiaki is overseeing the defensive line while longtime D-line coach Steve Kaufusi will be in charge of the linebackers.
