PROVO — BYU coach Dave Rose announced Thursday that a pair of guards, Rylan Bergersen and Jahshire Hardnett, are transferring from the program.
Hardnett made his intentions known earlier this month via his social media account.
Bergersen, a 6-foot-6 sophomore from Boise, Idaho, played sparingly in his two seasons with the Cougars. He saw action in 50 games and recorded career-highs of eight points, four rebounds and three assists. He averaged 1.9 points in 5.8 minutes per game. Bergersen shot 43.5 percent from the floor and 32 percent from 3-point territory.
The son of Roberto Bergersen, a former Boise State and NBA player, Rylan Bergersen has three years to play two.
