PROVO — Ilaisa Tuiaki came onto the scene at BYU last year as a first-year defensive coordinator and made a strong first impression.
Under his leadership, the Cougars were among the nation's best at scoring defense (19.5 points per game, 14th in the country). They also tied for second nationally in turnovers gained (31) and were ninth in the country in rush defense (112.85 yards per game).
Now, with Year Two of Tuiaki underway, here's a look at the Cougars' defensive roster in spring camp, with an analysis of the personnel at each position. Special teams is also analyzed.
