Tough luck for BYU fans, as it seems that the NBA ride for one former BYU star is done. Jimmer Fredette's tenure with the San Antonio Spurs is reportedly over. According to a tweet from Yahoo NBA reporter Shams Charania:
The San Antonio Spurs are waiving guard Jimmer Fredette today, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

The Spurs were Fredette's fourth professional basketball stop after being drafted by the Sacramento Kings, traded to the Chicago Bulls, and signed by the New Orleans Pelicans.
Many BYU fans were hopeful that with Jimmer's shooting ability and the San Antonio Spurs history of utilizing the best skills of their personnel that Fredette had finally found a NBA home where he could find a good fit.
