Could conference expansion in 2016 end up directly affecting the University of Utah more than BYU?
According to a story Monday by the Houston Chronicle's Joseph Duarte, University of Houston athletic director Hunter Yurachek met with Pac-12 Conference commissioner Larry Scott in June.
The occasion was described as an "introductory meeting," where it is believed conference expansion was discussed.
Houston and BYU have long been two schools mentioned in talks about the Big 12 Conference expanding. Big 12 presidents are expected on Tuesday to discuss expansion on some level during meetings in Dallas.
There have been no recent indications that the Pac-12 is looking to expand.
