BYU’s season came to an end Wednesday at Stanford in the NIT, and it appears assistant head coach Heath Schroyer is on the lookout for a head coaching job.
According to KPLC TV in Louisiana, Heath Schroyer is one of five finalists for the head coaching vacancy at McNeese State.
Wichita State’s Isaac Brown, LSU-Alexandria’s Larry Cordaro, St. Louis Catholic’s Rick LeBato, Northwestern State’s Jeff Moore are the other four finalists.
Out of the five candidates, Schroyer is the lone candidate with prior head coaching experience. He is also the only one without ties to Louisiana, but has ties to McNeese State’s AD Bruce Hemphill from their time at Wyoming.
