While we weren’t expecting to see BYU basketball playing a game until November, it appears that we might get our first look at the Cougars on October 27.
According to a report from CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, BYU and New Mexico will play an exhibition contest next Friday to help raise money for hurricane relief.

Both BYU and New Mexico are waiting for the NCAA to grant them a waiver to play, but it appears likely to happen.
