BYU added another QB to its roster for the 2020 season as 2018 signee and 4-star recruit Jacob Conover has joined the team. Jacob’s dad confirmed on Instagram that Jacob is enrolled in school and practicing with the team.
Conover was the top signee in BYU’s 2018 class and had offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Arizona, Washington State, among many other schools. He left for his mission in February 2019 and returned home this past Spring. In a normal year Conover may elect to gray shirt to not use a year of eligibility, but the NCAA ruled that any athlete can compete this fall without using a year of eligibility.
