The Associated Press writers poll was released this afternoon to show the BYU Cougars falling only three spots to #22 after a 24-23 loss to top-10 UCLA Saturday.
UCLA moved up one spot to #9, while BYU received a nod from media members nationally for its strong play and tough schedule.
The Cougars were 17-point underdogs according to the Vegas spread, yet led the Bruins for 57 minutes until a hurry-up rushing attack gashed BYU and gave UCLA the late victory.
BYU's highest vote came from Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News, who slotted the Cougars #13 after the loss.
