Police officers and volunteers scoured Logan neighborhoods in search of a 5-year-old girl who was reported missing early Saturday morning.
Family members told police they last saw Elizabeth Shelley around 2 a.m. When they woke up at 10 a.m., she was gone. The girl’s 21-year-old uncle had disappeared as well, the family said.
Officers later found that man walking around the northern Utah town around 3 p.m. and detained him, according to a Logan Police Department news release. The Cache County Sheriff’s Office has been questioning him, but said he has not been cooperative.
Family members believe the girl was wearing a teal-colored plaid shirt and blue jeans.
