Ogden • Olympus’ Spencer Jones could do no wrong and scored at will in the first half, pouring in 21 points before the intermission to help lead the undefeated Titans to an impressive victory against the overmatched Brighton 86-59 in Monday’s first round the Class 5A boys’ basketball state tournament.
In fact, Jones amassed as many points as Brighton was able to muster one quarter of play — 13. Jones took eight shots in the first half and made eight, including taking five 3-pointers. And not only did he shine bright on the offensive end, Jones was clogging the lane for Brighton, garnering three steals and a block.
