BYU basketball received some huge news as Wasatch Academy (UT) and Texas native Caleb Lohner officially signed with BYU. We reported earlier in the month that Utah signing Lohner’s NLI release was imminent, although that didn’t happen officially until 6/15 and his official commitment and signing today.
Lohner was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and 3-star by 247 Sports. He also had scholarship offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, TCU, Kansas State, among others. He was recruited by BYU during high school before he ultimately chose the Utes the first time around.
Lohner is a 6-foot-6 (or up to 6-foot-8, depending on who you ask) wing player who brings size, length, shooting and athleticism to BYU’s perimeter.
