SPOKANE, Wash. — Just 48 hours after squandering a 14-point lead and losing at home to San Francisco, BYU came out Saturday against No. 2 Gonzaga, prepared to give the Zags a battle.
The Cougars kept things relatively close for the first 30 minutes. But then Gonzaga shifted gears late in the game and clobbered BYU, 102-68.
The 34-point setback marked BYU’s largest margin of defeat since Dave Rose became the head coach in 2005.
