Less than 48 hours after seeing his first NFL action, former BYU wide receiver Colby Pearson was released Monday by the Green Bay Packers.
The news was more positive for former Utah State cornerback Daniel Gray, who signed with the New York Giants four days after the Arizona Cardinals waived him.
Pearson played 17 offensive snaps for the Packers on Saturday in their 20-17 preseason loss to the Denver Broncos but did not record any receptions. He missed the team's first two preseason games with an ankle injury.
Gray recorded two tackles, including a solo stop, in two preseason games for the Cardinals before the team waived him on Thursday.
