Zach Wilson is officially going to New York.
Wilson becomes the highest drafted player in BYU history (Steve Young did go #1 in the supplemental draft) as the Jets selected him with the #2 overall pick. This pick was expected for some time after Zach’s magnificent junior season, interviews, and pro day that sealed his fate as the second pick.
Zach Wilson had a prolific junior season, finishing with 3,692 yards, 33 passing TDs, 3 interceptions and a BYU record 73.5% completion percentage. He also ran for 254 yards and 10 touchdowns. He finished 8th in Heisman Trophy voting.
