Thomas S. Monson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, could have a conflict of interest this Saturday when the BYU Cougars face the Michigan Wolverines on the football field.
A tweet from broadcaster Robbie Bullough on Wednesday pointed out that Monson's biography "To the Rescue" details his love of the maize and blue.
"It is a rite of passage to be invited to join Grandpa in the basement on game day," reads the book authored by Heidi S. Swinton. "He presents each grandchild a Michigan cap in a special ceremony with the Michigan fight song playing in the background.
