As a quarterback, the saga of Tanner Mangum’s time at BYU played out largely in the public eye.

Magnum arrived in Provo with soaring aspirations as a high-level quarterback recruit and endured both highs and lows in college. That included starting as a freshman when Taysom Hill went down with an injury to being replaced by a freshman, Zach Wilson, during Mangum’s senior season in 2018.

Magnum showed appreciation for his time at BYU in an Instragram post over the weekend.

“Facing adversity with resilience and positivity isn’t always easy — sometimes it’s the opposite. But I never want to let my frustrations harden me as a person or make me less kind.
