With 1:44 remaining Wednesday night in the annual matchup between Utah and BYU at the Huntsman Center, it appeared the contest would end without a whole lot of fire added to the rivalry.
The Runnin' Utes were leading 80-64, after all, and had dominated much of the game. It certainly wasn't the sort of barn-burner that often happens when the two squads play.
Then Cougar freshman Nick Emery punched Ute senior Brandon Taylor during the course of play and chaos ensued. Emery was ejected, and fans received a technical foul for throwing items onto the Huntsman Center floor.
