Morning links: Division I financial database published; Big 12 expansion dead?; Kobe air for sale

Report details revenue and spending for public universities' athletic programs; West Virginia president Gordon Gee feels Big 12 is stable; bags of air from Kobe Bryant's last game were available on eBay.

It's clear that college athletics is big business, but just how much money do athletic departments work with?

As it does annually, USA Today published over the weekend a database looking at the spending and revenue of each NCAA Division I public university athletic department for the 2014-2015 fiscal year.

Of local note, the University of Utah took in the 52nd most revenue of the 231 schools listed at $62,441,552 against $58,734,014 of expenses, while Southern Utah University was 203rd with revenue of $11,039,942 against expenses of $10,562,560.
