New BYU Cougars men's basketball coach Mark Pope has made it clear he's not afraid of his biggest competition in the West Coast Conference, the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

On Thursday, a video was posted on Twitter of Pope speaking with college basketball reporter Andy Katz. The two discussed a number of topics over four minutes related to Pope settling into his new job, including what Pope thinks of the Bulldogs.

Pope joked that he'd like for Gonzaga head coach Mark Few to retire, and then said what Few and company have done is "extraordinary." In his next sentence, though, Pope said, "I personally think they're way overrated.
