Sandy • The Real Monarchs won for the second consecutive game to start the season, beating Portland Timbers 2, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon at Rio Tinto Stadium. Kalen Ryden scored twice for the Real Monarchs, and getting one goal apiece was Nick Besler and Sebastian Velasquez. The Monarchs play Didier Drogba and Phoenix Rising FC at 8 p.m. Saturday in Arizona.
