Mika’s career high not enough as BYU Basketball falls to USC

Eric Mika scored a career high 29 points to go with 10 rebounds to single-handedly keep BYU in the contest, but the continued trend of poor three point shooting, porous defense, and turnover problems allowed USC to earn a 91-84 victory over the Cougars at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Nick Emery and T.J. Haws had matching 0/6 shooting performances in the first half, but their 15 and 16 point second halves, respectively, came too late. BYU failed to get over the hump after USC took a 55-39 lead when Erik Mika picked up his third foul 51 seconds into the half.
