May Day is synonymous with blooming flowers and warm — but not hot — weather. The Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo are almost here to help us transition into summer festival season.

Rain is expected in the morning, though the National Weather Service expects the day to improve as it proceeds. It’s calling for a mostly sunny day in Salt Lake City with a high temperature of 53 degrees.
