After crashing his car into a cement barrier on Interstate 15 early Saturday, a man ran across traffic and was fatally struck by vehicles.
The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating what caused the initial crash, Trooper Lawrence Hopper said. The man’s car appeared to be traveling south when it veered right, into a concrete barrier, then went left and ran into a concrete barrier on the left shoulder, Hopper said.
The man, who was the only occupant in the car, Hopper said, ran across traffic lanes and was struck by an unknown amount of cars. He died at the scene.
