I was saddened to hear of the passing of Salt Lake County Councilman Sam Granato, a bridge-builder and tireless force for good. It is a major loss for our community. Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
Councilman Granato gave generously in several different ways, as a champion for the underdog, successful local business owner and diligent representative of Salt Lake County Council District 4. An institution in both politics and business, he will be missed.
