Las Vegas Bowl: Covey, Scott warm up for Utes, Canada for Cougars

The eligibility of a trio of offensive players drew interest leading up to today’s Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl.

Team warmups provided a little bit of clarity, as wide receivers Britain Covey and Kenneth Scott were running through warmups for Utah, while BYU had freshman running back Squally Canada sporting No. 33 and warming up with the Cougars.

Two of the Utes’ biggest questions on offense heading into the game were Covey and Scott, the team’s No. 1 and No. 2 leading receivers, respectively.

Covey, named a freshman All-American by Sporting News as a punt returner, missed the Colorado game with an ankle injury but had seven starts on the season and has 41 receptions for 518 yards to go along with five total touchdowns.
