BYU made several high risk/high reward hires with Kalani Sitake as Head Coach, Ty Detmer as Offensive Coordinator, and Ilaisa Tuiaki as Defensive Coordinator. All 3 are firsts to their new positions on the BYU Coaching staff.
With the hire of SUU Head Coach (and former BYU player and Graduate Assistant) Ed Lamb as Assistant Head Coach, BYU brings a stable force to the coaching staff.
Lamb turned around an SUU team that had lost 19-straight, turning them into a competitive team, transitioning them into an FCS Power Conference (the Big Sky), and guiding them to the FCS Playoffs twice.
