It may have been the first game Kyle Davis had played in 18 months, but the BYU forward quickly became Utah Valley University’s worst nightmare in the Cougars’ 85-54 win over the Wolverines Friday night in the Marriott Center opener for both teams.
Davis, a transfer from Utah State, scored 17 points and hauled down 20 rebounds in the Cougar win as former BYU assistant Mark Pope made his debut as the Wolverines' new head coach.
“Rebounding is something I feel is the best part of my game,” said Davis. “I just try to go for every rebound and see what happens.
