In what was an ugly game from start to finish as neither team could get in a rhythm offensively — both teams shot 36% from the field. BYU lost the turnover battle 15-12 and could never string together multiple good offensive possessions.
BYU had a 42-34 lead in the second half, but a 12-0 Saint Mary’s run put the Gaels back in the game.
