LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rylee Jensen was named the Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Tuesday.
"Rylee Jensen is having an incredible year," said BYU head coach Gordon Eakin. "Her performance over the weekend was worthy of this national award. Rylee is driven by her desire for team success. These individual awards, while gratifying and well deserved, are a result of her team-first attitude."
Jensen, an Idaho Falls, Idaho native, was nearly perfect at the plate last week, batting .900 (9-for-10) and reaching base safely in 11 of her 12 plate appearances.
