JC cornerback cites schedule as deciding factor in committing to BYU

Isaiah Armstrong, a cornerback from Riverside Community College, and Sekope Lutu Latu, a punter from Hawaii, commit to the Cougars in a span of about 12 hours.

“That was a deciding factor for me to commit so quickly as well. I started checking their schedule and saw all the schools and knew immediately that I wanted to play against that competition.”

The BYU football program has received commitments from two players in less than 24 hours who have very different timelines for when they'll first don a Cougar uniform.

On Monday evening, cornerback Isaiah Armstrong of Riverside Community College in California committed as a late addition to the 2016 class.
