Jabari Blash launched two home runs off the batter’s eye in center field at Smith’s Ballpark to lift the Salt Lake Bees to an 8-6 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes in a Pacific Coast League game Saturday night.
Blash’s first homer came in the third inning with Jose Miguel Fernandez aboard to cut the Bees’ deficit to 6-5. Then in the fifth inning Blash hit a tape measure solo shot that nearly cleared the 40-foot tall batter’s eye to put the Bees up 8-6. The right fielder is the third Bee of the season to have a multi-home run game, joining Chris Carter and Michael Hermosillo, who have also accomplished feat on during the Bees homestand.
