Provo • BYU basketball coach Dave Rose will hold a 1 p.m. news conference at the Marriott Center on Tuesday afternoon amid speculation that the Cougars’ 14-year coach will retire or resign.
Rose, 61, met several times last week with BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe and other BYU administrators to discuss his future, including a possible buyout of the two years remaining on his contract, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.
