A state inmate, Michael Vieyra, briefly escaped from the Beaver County jail Saturday. He was caught the same day, according to a news release from the Utah Department of Corrections.
A review is being conducted by Beaver County and the Utah Department of Corrections as to how the incident happened.
Vieyra, 25, has been incarcerated since April for convictions of third-degree felony charges of burglary and misdemeanor charges of possession of a dangerous weapon.

He was arrested in March along with a woman after being captured by the Greeley Police Department from Colorado at a motel in Moab.
