High winds, and maybe snow, are in Utah’s forecast

Utahns can expect high winds across much of the state Wednesday into Thursday — along with cold temperatures and, perhaps, a bit of snow in some areas.

The National Weather Service issued a strong wind advisory for parts of north/central Utah west of the Wasatch Front, with winds of 20-30 mph and gusts of 50 mph. Dixie near the canyons can expect winds of 20-30 mph and gusts of 50-55 mph, and southeast Utah will see winds of 20-30 mph with gusts of 45-50 mph.

The strongest warning is for Castle Country, around Price and south of there, where winds of 25-35 mph and gusts of up to 65 mph are expected Wednesday evening.
