Four finalists announced for the job of heading Utah Valley University

The 24-member committee’s months-long search, interviews and public meetings has produced the following candidates to head what is now Utah’s largest institution of higher education. They are:

Outgoing UVU president Matt Holland, 50, announced in November he would leave the post after nine years, in order to serve as a president of an LDS Church mission.

Steven Lund, a Regent and the search committee co-chair, said in a written statement that the search panel was “honored” to recommend the four finalists for Regents’ consideration.

Elaine Dalton, search committee co-chair and chair of the UVU Board of Trustees, thanked the university’s trustees, faculty, students, staff and members of the community “for their valuable participation in this process.
