Former East High star running back Ula Tolutau commits to BYU

After returning from an LDS mission to Bakersfield, California, during the summer, former East High star running back Ula Tolutau has decided to play collegiately at BYU.

A post on a joint Facebook account of his parents on Saturday revealed the 2013 Deseret News "Mr. Football" award winner chose the Cougars over Utah, Utah State and Oregon State.

Tolutau signed with Wisconsin in early 2014 before leaving on his mission, but then head coach Gary Andersen left to lead the Beavers, and Tolutau told the Deseret News in November that there was some uncertainty about his academics at Wisconsin, leading him to look elsewhere.
