Another former East High star is headed to BYU after returning home from an LDS mission.
Christian Folau, who committed to Oregon State prior to leaving for the California San Jose Mission, announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he has committed to the Cougars.
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds before his mission, Folau was a linebacker for the Leopards who had committed to Stanford earlier in his prep career. In 2013 and 2014, he received first team all-state honors after compiling 207 tackles and 16.5 sacks in those two seasons.
He then signed with the Beavers in 2015 while Cougars head coach Kalani Sitake was the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach in Corvallis.
