Former BYU wide receiver Mitch Mathews was waived by the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday, ending two months with the organization.
Mathews was waived in order to make room on the Vikings' 90-man roster for former Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr., who was signed as a safety.
The former Cougar will now be looking to make his fourth NFL team after going undrafted last spring.
