Flea-flicker helps jumpstart BYU’s offense in win over Cincinnati

The run was working effectively. If it wasn’t working effectively, they wouldn’t have had all the (Cincinnati defensive backs) jump up for run support. That allowed Jonah to get open.

CINCINNATI — BYU’s offense desperately needed a spark late in the second quarter.

So offensive coordinator Ty Detmer dialed up a trick play that ended up working, and it set up the Cougars’ first touchdown Saturday against Cincinnati.
