Two children, one who uses a wheelchair, were saved Tuesday morning when firefighters responded to a fire in a West Valley City duplex.
The kids had inhaled some thick smoke, but were otherwise alright and didn’t need to go to the hospital.
A report of the fire came just before 7 a.m., Battalion Chief Jeff Fox said. Firefighters responded to the duplex at 5294 W. Ali Circle (3450 South) to find thick black smoke pouring from windows and the front door.

A woman was outside of the home and told firefighters that her two children were stuck inside.
