Duchesne High School student arrested after violent threat reported to school

A Duchesne High School student was arrested and the school locked down Thursday after someone reported a threat to police.

The high school, at 155 W. Main St. in Duchesne, was locked down until county deputies finished searching the campus about 2:40 p.m., according sheriff’s office news release. The neighboring Duchesne Elementary School was also put on lockdown as a precaution.

Law enforcement didn’t release additional information about the incident nor elaborate on the threat, other than saying it was a “threat of violence.”
