Bronco Mendenhall is a surfer and a rodeo guy. He’s used to riding waves and trails, and as a major college football coach, his departure from BYU to the University of Virginia fits his style, the one that’s kept him in a nomadic kind of job his entire career.

It’s surprising he stayed at BYU for 11 years, really.
