Denver Post touts BYU for setting a trend in gender diversity at regional cybersecurity competition

Earlier this week, Brigham Young University's team of four men and four women won the Rocky Mountain Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition for the second year in a row.

An article in the Denver Post explains that the team stood out because other teams had fewer female members.

"Our team was 50 percent female and was the same composition last year. In both years we are the only team nationwide to be gender-balanced. Last year we won regionals and took No. 2 in the national competition," BYU coach Dale C. Rowe, an information technology professor at BYU, said in the article.
