Former BYU defensive end John Denney reached a milestone Sunday night, playing long snapper in his 200th straight game for the Miami Dolphins in a 27-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders.
He joined an elite Dolphins company with Sunday’s game, as Dan Marino and Jason Taylor are the only other players to appear in 200 games or more for Miami.
Denney, a two-time Pro Bowler, arrived in Miami in 2005 and has played in every game since then. He holds the longest active consecutive games played streak for a long snapper in the NFL and fifth-longest among all players, according to Miami.
