After a fast start in Friday’s second round of the U.S. Open at Erin Hills, Daniel Summerhays hung on for dear life and made the cut to play the final two rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
The former BYU all-American, who lives in Fruit Heights, fired an even-par 72, which left him at 1-over-par 145 right on the cut line, in a tie for 54th place.
