LOGAN — Since becoming an independent in 2011, BYU has closed out its regular seasons against Hawaii, New Mexico State, Nevada and California.
But there's a different feeling surrounding this year's regular-season finale at Utah State.
The Cougars and Aggies collide in the 85th meeting between the two programs at Maverik Stadium Saturday (1:30 p.m., MST, CBSSN).
“We definitely get fired up to play Utah and Utah State,” said BYU offensive lineman Ryker Mathews. “It means more. It’s an in-state rivalry. We take it a little bit more serious. Everyone wants to be the big, bad dog of the state.
