PROVO — There are times when it's clear the young BYU team is, well, young. It took the Cougars awhile to come alive, but they blew the game open in the final 10 minutes for a 95-81 win.
After struggling through a rocking-shooting first half, particularly from the 3-point line, the Cougars poured in four-straight treys in the opening minutes of the second half to capture a 59-53 lead.
The Cougars opened the game shooting just 1-7 from beyond the arch. Coming out hot in the second half, BYU strengthened its 3-point shooting percentage to 48.1% by the end of the night.
