With a third-string quarterback, fourth-string running back, third-string right tackle and third-string left guard, BYU handed No. 14 Boise State its first loss, 28-25, of the 2019 season and snapped its own three-game losing streak.
The team’s depth is something head coach Kalani Sitake has been boasting for weeks now, especially after losing season starters Zayne Anderson (linebacker) and Ty’Son Williams (running back) to season-ending injuries and quarterback Zach Wilson for the majority of the season with a fractured right thumb. Not to mention the minor weekly bang ups that are all too familiar in football.
